In this document
These terms govern use of this public website, operated by Kyle W McEvoy MH Counseling PC. By using the site, you acknowledge the boundaries below. If you do not agree with them, do not use the site. Separate clinical or professional-engagement documents control the services provided under those relationships.
Scope and acceptance
The site provides general information about Kyle W. McEvoy, the practice, psychotherapy services, Mentalization-Based Treatment, professional advisory work, and related educational material. These terms apply only to the public website and its general content. The Website Privacy Policy, Notice of Privacy Practices, and Good Faith Estimate notice address specific privacy and financial matters.
Educational information, not individualized advice
Website and newsletter content is general educational information. It is not a diagnosis, treatment plan, clinical recommendation, medical or psychiatric advice, legal advice, human-resources advice, or other advice tailored to a particular person, family, clinician, team, or organization. It is not a substitute for an evaluation by a qualified professional who understands the relevant circumstances.
Do not start, stop, or change treatment, medication, safety planning, legal action, employment action, or organizational policy solely because of material on this site. Seek appropriate professional guidance for decisions requiring individualized assessment.
No relationship is created by the website
Visiting the site, reading or downloading material, subscribing to the newsletter, sending an email, using the client-portal link, or submitting an inquiry does not create a therapist-client, counselor-client, supervisory, consulting, advisory, fiduciary, or other professional relationship.
A therapist-client relationship begins only after the practice has completed its intake and clinical-fit process, accepted the person for care, and the parties have completed the applicable informed-consent and practice documents. An advisory, consultation, speaking, or supervision engagement begins only after its scope and terms have been expressly accepted. If a separate signed or confirmed agreement conflicts with this website, the separate agreement controls that engagement.
Professional advisory and supervision material does not displace a clinician's independent judgment, an organization's governance or legal duties, an employer's responsibilities, or an existing treatment team's obligations.
Jurisdiction, eligibility, and availability
Descriptions of a service are not an offer, promise of acceptance, or confirmation that the service is lawful or clinically appropriate in a particular circumstance. Clinical availability depends on fit, capacity, level-of-care needs, and legal requirements. Telehealth eligibility depends on the client's physical location at the time of service and the provider's applicable licensure or other authorization in that jurisdiction.
A listed location, modality, credential, or service area may change and does not guarantee that an appointment or engagement is available. The practice confirms eligibility before services begin and, where required, throughout the relationship.
No guarantee of outcomes
Psychotherapy, consultation, and advisory work are individualized processes. The site does not promise or guarantee any clinical, relational, professional, organizational, or financial result. Examples and descriptions illustrate the nature of the work; they are not predictions of a particular outcome.
Not an emergency or crisis service
This is a scheduled outpatient practice. The website, inquiry form, ordinary email, and Client Portal are not monitored continuously and must not be used for urgent or emergency communication.
If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 911 or your local emergency number. In the United States, if you are experiencing emotional distress, suicidal thoughts, or another mental health or substance-use crisis, call or text 988 or use the 988 Lifeline chat.
Intellectual property and permitted use
Unless otherwise indicated, the site's text, visual design, graphics, photographs, illustrations, logos, downloads, and other material are owned by or licensed to the practice and are protected by intellectual-property law. You may view the site and print or save a reasonable portion for your personal, noncommercial use. You may not reproduce, republish, modify, distribute, sell, frame, scrape, or exploit site material without prior written permission, except as the law otherwise permits.
Names, marks, and logos belonging to universities, training institutes, certifying organizations, publishers, or other third parties remain the property of their respective owners. Their appearance describes education, training, certification, publication, or affiliation and does not imply an endorsement or partnership unless expressly stated.
External services and links
The site links to third-party services and resources, including the Client Portal, newsletter provider, professional profiles, public agencies, and educational resources. A link is provided for convenience and does not, by itself, constitute endorsement. The practice does not control a third party's availability, content, security, accessibility, or privacy practices. Your use of an external service is governed by that service's own terms and policies.
Accuracy, currency, and site operation
The practice aims to keep the site accurate and current but does not warrant that every statement is complete, error-free, or continuously up to date. Clinical standards, laws, licenses, services, fees, links, and availability may change. The practice may correct, remove, or update content and may suspend or discontinue any site feature without notice.
The site is provided over internet systems that may experience interruption, delay, security events, or technical error. If a form appears to fail, do not repeatedly submit sensitive information; use the general contact route and provide only the minimum information needed.
Changes and contact
These terms may be revised to reflect changes in the site, services, or law. The date above identifies the current version. Questions about these terms or requests concerning site content may be sent to kyle@kylewmcevoy.com. Questions about clinical privacy should be directed through the procedures in the Notice of Privacy Practices.
